EGTG has announced the return of The Improbables, its highly successful Improv troupe, with a 10-week introductory course into short-form improv. Workshops will begin on Monday 24 February and run at 19:30 on Mondays for ten weeks till 4 May. The course, run by original Improbables member Gordon Craig, will teach the basic principles of short-form improvisation, with each workshop focusing on a different aspect of the artform.
EGTGs new improv course will cost £10 for the full 10-weeks, covering:

9 Mar – Endowment
16 Mar – Style / genre
23 Mar – Gibberish
30 Mar – Hidden information
6 Apr – Character work
20 & 27 Apr, 4 May – Putting everything together
As well as promising to be great fun, improvisation can help participants improve their performance skills overall, as well as building their proficiency when speaking both in conversation and publicly. Whether you want to perform on stage or are just looking for more confidence when speaking off-the-cuff, The Improbables workshops are for you.
The Improbables short-form improv course will run at 19:30 for 10 Mondays from 24 February to 4 May in EGTGs meeting rooms at 18 Buccleuch Place. Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
