We on the EGTG committee have been closely monitoring updates from the Scottish Government on the easing of the lockdown, as I’m sure many of us have been, and under current guidance we don’t think it would be practical or responsible to prepare for a live production this year. So for the safety of the potential cast and audience we have made the decision to postpone the remainder of our 2020 season to 2021. We have already spoken to relevant rights holders and have received permission to go ahead with our performances next year. We hope you will continue to give us your support and look forward to seeing you all in person next year.
We’re not going completely dark though, as we plan to meet in the months when we would have been performing to celebrate our love of theatre and read through a script together. We will of course be meeting digitally in the first instance with full details to follow next month. We hope you will be able to join us virtually.
