Wed 23 June, 19:30 on Zoom

An advance look at the three scripts proposed for the 2021 Festival Fringe. We’ll be reading through three short pieces written by the EGTG membership with a view to producing each of them as part of our digital programme in August.
Ripe for Improvement by Hilary Spiers
A couple look to buy a house from the eccentric owner, but just what will they have to do in order to secure the sale?
The Report by Martin Foreman
A dreadful incident has taken place. More than dreadful. Appalling. Heart breaking. And someone needs to accept responsibility for it.
Guilty Animals by Dug Campbell
Nature is a massive early warning system. Trees, roots, fungus, people. We’re all connected, looking for danger. Nature. We think we’re in control. Right until the bitter end.
We encourage both existing and new EGTG members who are interested in participating in our digital Fringe programme to attend the virtual reading and provide feedback to the writers. Auditions for productions will be held early July, depending on the availability of the directors. Productions will be recorded as live where possible and submitted to be part of the Festival Fringe digital programme in August.
Spaces for our virtual table-read are limited so please be sure to register online before 6pm on Wednesday 23 June to ensure your spot.
